Continuing from my post about reviews being useful (or should be useful), I carry on to the point that not only do reviewers need to respect and support authors, but the authors have to also respect their reviewers (provided they give good and useful reviews).

The amount of abusive comments that reviewers get (even good, honest reviewers) from authors that cannot realise that the comments made are to help them is almost unfathomable. I don't necessarily speak about our mild-mannered front pagers, but it seems to go on within the judging and voting of newer animators that dream of being front pagers.

The bottom line is if you want to become as good as the people on the home page, you have to accept that there will be something in your animating that a user things can be improved, and will be a good idea to improve if you want to improve your ratings.
